Rawwrr - girls and their claws!

Opinion: We just wanna be nice.

Article by : SpunOut.ie

Some women are known to throw a few slaps once riled up, getting involved in vicious demeaning catfights where animal instinct takes over and they take the word ‘bitch’ to the extreme. They let their competitive streak take over and go wild!

If you’ve ever watched the Discovery Channel (I know, I know, yawn!), but if you have watched it, you will see the lioness crouched in an offensive position ready for the kill. Watching a catfight between two women is, well, almost much the same.

After a few drinks, some women may not keep their balance as perfectly as the lioness, but you get the idea! Women can be vicious, crazy, and even delirious with their thoughts!

We spend our entire time keeping our thoughts bottled up and trying to stay polite until…… eventually we explode, and thus the catfight begins! Unlike men, we don’t often speak our mind when it comes to each other. We cannot simply say the things men can so freely declare.

One perfect example of this phenomenon is when we women prepare ourselves for a night out (which we are incapable of doing individually, why, oh why, do we insist on getting ready together?!). Well, if a member of the group perhaps doesn’t look the best, maybe their hair just isn’t working out, us girls just say: “Oh yeah it’s lovely, no it doesn’t look messy at all. Will ya shtopp”. LIES! Of course, it depends on the bond, but this happens with many women whereas men are more willing to say “Ha, ya look like a right auld eejit”. TRUTH!

It isn’t that us girls are liars but more that we just don’t want to hurt each other’s feelings. We have this awful mindset that it just isn’t right to admit that another girl looks bad to her face.

However, we can easily talk behind each other’s back. It’s just the way we are I suppose - that feeling that you are hurting someone else if you tell them something they wouldn’t like to hear is a little unbearable for us girls!

I think we should decide now to change the way we think and be blunt and say it how it is- life would be so much easier if we just told each other that we look crap every once in a while!
