WARNING – My taste in music is questionable at the best of times. What works for me might not necessarily be, you know... usual. Still, if it floats your respective boats...



1. Big, Blonde and Beautiful – Hairspray.

You don’t necessarily have to be big and/or blonde to enjoy this song– the confidence is instantly infectious. One for the shower.

2. Thriller – Michael Jackson

This list will contain copious amounts of MJ, but Thriller is the king. It doesn’t have to be Hallowe’en to break it down, zombie style.

3. We Love to Boogie – T Rex

We really do. Especially to this song.

4. More than A Feeling – Boston

Airband, anyone?

5. Dead – My Chemical Romance

Not usually my ‘go-to’ band for dancing it up, but every time I hear it on my iPod I can’t help toe tapping just a little, much to the alarm of my fellow bus passengers!

6. Wild Thing – The Kinks (I think)

I have a pillow that plays this when I press a button. It’s amazing.

7. Dreadlock Holiday – 10CC

I man named Bob Fossil made this song special.

8. One Way Or Another – Blondie

The lyrics may be a little stalkery, but it’s an instant winner with me!

9. I Will Survive – Diana Ross

At first I was afraid. I was petrified. This is the ultimate Girl Power song.

10. Under Pressure – Queen

Okay. This may cause controversy, but after what Jedward did with this song, how can you NOT dance to it??

11. Car Wash – Rose Royce

I love me some funky retro beats.

12. Pink – Aerosmith

Always a big hit. It’s just a sexy, sexy song.

13. Sell Out – Reel Big Fish

One of those songs that it is compulsory to jump around to.

14. Soul Man – James Brown

Sunglasses? Check. Suit? Check. Saxophone? Check. Let’s roll.

15. Smooth Criminal – Michael Jackson

Every time this song comes on, every man in the room thinks he’s Michael Jackson. It’s hilarious.

 

16. My Sharona – The Knack

17. Baby Got Back – Sir Mix Alot

My guilty pleasure. Shake that healthy butt.

18. Sweet Child O Mine – Guns’N’Roses

It’s obvious, isn’t it?

They invented music.
