Feist: The Reminder
The sweet voice and the warm pleasantness.
Not many people are able to find what you might call a ‘true artist.’ This is due to the heaps of people trying to grab their 15 minutes and a quick buck. You have to peruse the web to find the purity of real music! I have discovered a ‘true artist.’
Her name is Feist, and I must admit, I am having a public affair with her music.

The smokey voice of Leslie Feist flowed into my ears, one spring day, when I was perusing the web. What I heard sent a calm feeling into myself, which made me smile from ear to ear. So I bought her album, craving more of this sweet voice. Feist did not disappoint.
Some of you may already know who Feist is, because her song ‘1234’ was featured on the old apple iPod nano ad. Remember that catchy song that got stuck into your head, and you were going along singing, “1,2,3,4 tell me that you love me more”? Well, that’s her!
Feist’s album The Reminder was released in 2007, but too quietly for my liking. It is full to the brim of genuine talent which cannot be tampered. I do not say this about many albums, but there is not one bad song featured on The Reminder. It is truly sensational!
Feist’s album can be described as a story of a love-filled life and smokey tingles.
The tracks on this album can be repeated, time and time again, so much so that six songs from this album feature in the Top 25 playlist on my iPod!
Songs I would recommend from this album should be numerous, but I’ll try to contract it somewhat. For an upbeat boogie, try: ‘My Moon My Man’, or ‘Sea Lion Woman’ (which is a fantastic revamp of a Nina Simone classic). For a warmer feeling, try my favourite song from the album, ‘Intuition.’ Other amazing songs include: ‘I Feel It All’, ‘How My Heart Behaves’, and ‘Honey Honey.’
Feist may go unnoticed, but in all honesty, as a lover of many types of music, she comes up trumps.
Feist is a woman for all occasions, whether you are upset, happy, feeling chilled out, or looking for a dance, she fits each level. A must from me, an avid Feist lover!
Hats off to The Reminder, a reminder of what music is meant to make you feel.
