Where has my love gone?

Poetry: The ball of emotions tangle inside.

My love has gone,
It sails on a boat lights shimmering in the darkness,
The sea is looking warm and yet freezing in places.

Get me out of here,
I do not direct its path,
It is out of control.
I ask nature to take its great wind under its sails,
And bring it back to me,
I have no hold over myself,
I hover in darkness, where do I land?

Only she knows,
She, the woman I sleep, dream and wake,
I feel a constant ache for her love,
Yet nothing is there only confused emotions,
She swings on a tree that will break,
I’m afraid that I will have so much hatred that I will not catch her.

She closes one man’s book and thinks she can as easily open mine,
Life aint so pretty,
Instead it can be quite a pity,
It longs for one yet thinks of another,
The ball of emotions tangle inside,
Yet when they both look in the mirror she sees only him.

Time has passed between them longer that I can say I know her,
Reason calls my name but I am deaf to the shrieks of my heart,
Get me out of here.

In this pack how can there be an ace?
If I find one it will probably look beautiful to me,
In my life I will always learn,
I may need to feel the burn.
