It's affecting me
Poetry: A polar bear took fright.
An icecap was melting,
A polar bear took fright,
He swam off into the water
And faded from my sight.
A woman started walking,
Rhythmical and slow,
A water barrel on her back,
Only four miles left to go.
A business man frowned,
As the rain began to fall,
Middle of July now,
And no sunshine at all.
I walked along the beach,
But left before the tide,
I climbed up onto a cliff,
Hoping to watch it rise.
It covered all the beach,
But didn’t stop there,
It flooded all surrounding farmland,
And wiped our crops bare.
And in that awful moment,
Suddenly I see,
Global warming is happening,
And it’s affecting me.
