Poetry: Solid grey walls...
Solid grey walls,
Encompass life,
Weep inside,
The questions a knife,
Shallow wounds,
Upon the soul,
Slowly rotting,
In despair’s dark hole,
No light, no forgiveness, no redemption here,
You’re a freak, different, alone, queer,
Maybe fat or maybe thin,
Perhaps you’re gay or have coloured skin
Do they care as you slowly drown?
Sinking quietly,
Your masque a clown,
Dance like a puppet on hidden strings,
Like insidious poisons, whispered things,
The heart bleeds so slowly, the face does not show,
A fraction of the pain,
THEY can never know.
