Career guidance
A poem about what I like to do.
Article by : SpunOut.ie
“Well, what do you like to do?”
What a big question! What a lot!
What do I like to do…..
I like walking around empty supermarkets
In the middle of the night
Field flailing in the dark
Fleeing out of sight
Eating yoghurt with a fork
Showering at midnight
Tricking my brain into thinking
I’m floating and flying
Blur blur fuzzy fuzzy
No such thing as dying
Stealing pop tarts in the morning
Dancing till I can’t breathe
Examining mutated vegetables
Getting married in pagan ceremonies
Waking up covered in dew
Thinking about all the things I’m going to do
Not being here in school
Writing poems about what I’m thinking when I’m sitting in the career guidance office with you.
