Poetry: The pressure of exams...
Article by : SpunOut.ie - Rating :
I feel the pressure and
Anticipation, overflowing in a
Room filled with eager pens
And too many words.
Time stands still for me.
My pen runs dry for want
Of facts and necessary
Flow of thought.
Time should be catching up now
But I choose to pause.
Hoping a final moment's desperate
Reminiscing might be the key
To remembering that thought
I have foolishly forgotten,
Sealing my own fate with a
Blank space on a lonely page.
Anticipation, overflowing in a
Room filled with eager pens
And too many words.
Time stands still for me.
My pen runs dry for want
Of facts and necessary
Flow of thought.
Time should be catching up now
But I choose to pause.
Hoping a final moment's desperate
Reminiscing might be the key
To remembering that thought
I have foolishly forgotten,
Sealing my own fate with a
Blank space on a lonely page.
