Swap nights
You can't afford new clothes or you feel guilty cos you have lots already...
Or maybe you're just sick of lining the pockets of big multinationals who exploit workers in the sweatshops of developing countries. Well this is the solution! Swap nights, get a bunch of friends together, get them to bring the clothes they haven’t worn in a while or that they are sick of or that maybe doesn’t fit them anymore and just swap!
You get something new in your wardrobe and so do your friends and no one is out of pocket! Lets face it, we don’t always want something new, just something different!
A few tips for your swap night:
- Make sure you bring something you genuinely want rid of! Remember you may not have worn it for a while because it has been too cold and you cant go asking for it back once it is summer again or you just miss it!
- Wash and iron the clothes you bring (okay that’s obvious but you never know!)
- The more people that are there, the more clothes you will be able to choose from! Get cousins, classmates and neighbours involved.
- You can think about including accessories, hats, scarves and jewellery.
- Have fun!!
