Teen parents support programme
Contact details and information on nationwide teen parents support.
Are you pregnant and under 20 years of age? Were you a teenager when you had your baby and is he or she still under 2 years of age? Then the Teen Parents Support Programme (TPSP) may be for you!
The TPSP (as it is known) was set up especially to support young parents (both mums and dads) like yourself. The workers in the TPSP will give you one-to-one support to deal with your own individual situation. For example, you may want to talk about how you are feeling and how your pregnancy is affecting those around you – your own parents and the other parent of your baby. Or you may need information about how to care for yourself and your baby, on Social Welfare, housing and childcare.
The TPSP may also be able to give you some financial support to remain in school or training and, if you are interested, can link you in with other young parents in your area.
