EMPLOYMENT

I have been an employee of KPMG since November 2009 and I am currently a senior actuary in the Insurance Department. My tasks comprise actuarial consultancy and support for other departments such as assurance, corporate finance, tax & legal, forensic & litigation services, both life and non-life business and regulatory advice for financial and insurance entities although last year my work has been mainly focused in pensions. My impressive achievements are:

 

Pensions related:
o Translation for internal use of US-GAAP and UK-GAAP.
o Valuation of pension obligations and giving advice on correct externalisation of these obligations for prestigious clients.
o I have performed and reported calculations under International Accounting Standards, US GAAP and UK GAAP for several clients.

 

Financials related:
o Data room for the purchase of the Spanish branch of Marasa. I was the senior actuary responsible for this project where I had to analyse Marasa's investments related to pension.
o I have advised financial entities about the legal stance of their financial products in regards to Irish insurance law, dealing with swap agreements, fiduciary deposits and Special Purpose Vehicles.
o Advising insurance companies about their asset and liability management.
o Collaboration in a statistical study for the School of Sport's Medicine (1998).
