Suicide survivor

True life: Hope, understanding and honesty is best.

Hello everyone, my name is Hazel and I’m a suicide survivor since 2008. I am very proud to say it too. After all, I’ve hit rock bottom and picked myself up again! To all of you out there, the best advice I ever got was "Your opinion matters".  Those three words had to be drilled into my head, but it turns out that they were the best words to listen to for inner solitude and happiness.

I could tell you a million things about not listening to bullies and not putting yourself down etc, but trust me when I say that it doesn’t matter who you are and what you have done, it’s what you become that matters. That also goes for all the bad things that have happened in your life.

We don’t all get the best chances in life. In fact, some of us have the worst luck in the world.

No matter what though, your opinions and your life do matter, they actually mean a whole lot to people that you haven’t even met yet! So as hard as it is, try to stay positive.

I hope whoever is reading this has a smile on their face and not a frown. There is help out there, no matter how small the matter/problem is.
