Emergency travel situations
How to handle being mugged, losing your passport, getting arrested and more!
Things can go wrong on holiday. Throw in the fact that you may be acting the muppet, drinking or drugging way more than you're used to, taking risks just because you're letting off steam, or maybe you just have bad luck... and the chance for things to go wrong steps up a few notches.
Wow, so anyone ready to book a vacay after that intro?!
Seriously though, if something goes pear-shaped here's some solid info for how to handle the situation.
ALWAYS: If something does go wrong while you are abroad, you should first contact your family and/or friends at home. They may be able to resolve your difficulty for you or help you to do so without further assistance. If necessary, you should also contact your tour operator representative and travel insurance provider as quickly as possible.
What to do if:
You've been the victim of a crime
You require urgent medical treatment
Good luck and safe & happy travels!
