Rape crisis iPhone app

Help is now in the palm of your hands.

Rape and sexual assault are very common. Yet most of us wouldn’t know what to do or who to see if it happened to us or to our friends. We would likely have many questions and few answers.

As a solution to this problem, the Rape Crisis Network of Ireland has recently launched new apps for the iPhone and Android. These apps are compatible with the iPhone and Smartphone and are FREE to download. They contain a range of useful information, support, advice, contact details and links and are very easy to use.

The apps contain answers to the following commonly asked questions:

  • How can I help if someone tells me about an assault?
  • Who are the professionals and services that are out there to lend support?
  • How can I or my friend contact them?
  • What is the law?
  • What happens if someone goes to the Gardaí?
  • Is there specialist medical care nearby?
  • How can you help make it safer for everyone?

To download, just go to www.rcni.ie/apps where you can click on either the iPhone or Android links.

If you have any further questions or would like some more info, contact the RCNI on info@rcni.ie.
