Losing your virginity
Opinion: Sometimes things don't go according to plan.
Being a virgin in society today has a big stigma attached to it, and unjustly so!
Who cares? I mean honestly, how does losing your virginity define you as a person? It doesn’t make you any better so I mean what’s the big deal? I was talking to a guy (let’s call him John), not too long ago about this very subject. John is a confident guy and he recently lost his virginity to his girlfriend of eight months. Now, how many of us as teenagers see sex as the ‘perfect moment’? The first time has to be special; you want to remember it forever. I don’t want to ruin it for you if you are a virgin, but your first time is likely to be somewhat less than perfect.
One of my friend's favourite saying is, “Men have a penis, and they have a brain. They do not however have enough blood to fuel both”. So, back to John! Right, so... I mean the mood is just right. Typical scene, low romantic music, a warm comfortable environment, kissing turns into heavy petting and soon both people involved are getting down to the ‘horizontal no pants dance’.
Now according to John, given his position (no pun intended) he found it practically impossible to put his penis inside the girl's vagina. “I knew where it went it just... wouldn’t go in!” As you can imagine, it was quite the awkward situation for anyone to be in at this stage. Would you be surprised to hear that it wasn’t the worst part of his night? Eventually, everything seemed to be going to plan! This was the way it was meant to be... perfect. All parties were agreed that they could get used to this.
Now, rule one in the bedroom is not to be too confident, especially when you can’t back it up. Let me give you an image here, I apologise in advance. So, John gains confidence that night. To quote another great friend “a woman is like a guitar, you just have to touch her in the right places to hear the sounds you want”, and he seemed to be doing just that. Now, bear in mind the vital part of this image is that John is on top, leaning on his elbows. As he grows in confidence his mind says to him “go for the grope man, go for the grope”.
Putting his weight on his one elbow he moves his hand down, but he’s too nervous. The poor girlfriend never saw it coming; his elbow gave way under his weight and SMACK. As blood gushed from the poor girl’s nose he watched in horror.
It’s funny sometimes how you expect to remember that night for the rest of your life, even if not for the sex.
