Article by : SpunOut.ie
- Listen to another family member's point of view.
- Be the first to make up after a row.
- Admit when you are wrong.
- Patiently accept a parental decision, when a good tantrum might get you your own way.
- Accept that parents try to be fair, but that you can't get your own way all the time.
- Talk reasonably when you feel like screaming and shouting.
- Pass up an opportunity to get back at a family member who has annoyed you.
- Take other family members' feelings into account when you act or speak.
- Keep promises.
- Own up when you've done something you really shouldn't have.
