- Avoid injury by warming up your muscles (with some light running and stretching) before exercise and stretching afterwards as well.
- You should have an idea of the hazards and risks or your sport so you can avoid them.
- If you’re supposed to have certain equipment then get it and use it properly. It’s important, for example a cycle helmet can reduce the risk of head injury by 85% and a leash on your surfboard can save you from drowning.
- Get lessons or training in your sport, it will help you improve quickly and teach you everything you need to know about the sport.
- Don’t walk or run alone at night, get a friend to go with you for safety. Wear reflective clothing walking and running in the dark.
- Don’t use headphones when walking or jogging, you won’t hear any potential danger.
