Female intuition is not a myth
It's time to listen to your intuition, for your own good.
‘I just don’t like him. I don’t know why. I’m getting bad vibes from him.’
‘Can we leave this place now? It doesn’t feel right.’
‘We are going to get this house. I just know it!!’
‘I know there is something wrong with me. I think the doctor has missed something.’
Any of you ladies out there ever think any of the above thoughts?
Sometimes we feel or just know certain things without there being any real reasoning to root our feelings in. This is your intuition speaking to you and it is time you start to listen to it, for your own good.
Our sixth sense or gut feeling, as some of us call it, has often been put down as rubbish or urban myth. We females have somehow lost trust in our own opinions and judgement. There are thousands of books out there on methods of child rearing for example. Of course some are helpful and good. But all point to the fact that women all over the world do not trust their gut instincts. They feel they have to force certain methods on to their babies, when they know deep inside that it is not right for their child. Why have we lost faith in ourselves?
The obvious answer is that it is the result of the male ego-driven society and system we are currently living in. Society doesn’t understand ‘these girly’ thoughts and feelings. Perhaps, if there was more equality throughout the world and more women involved in running the show, we would not be in the state we are currently in. I’m in no way romancing or harking back to a matriarchal society here. But if both males and females utilised their own super qualities to their full potential I think we would have a more contented society as a whole.
Millions of ‘witches’ were murdered in Europe in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. Some, I believe, as a result of simply listening to their intuition and acting on it. While it is important to acknowledge this fact, let’s not get into the blame game now. It is time to get on with it and time for us females to start rising and believing in our own abilities and powers. There are also some researchers and scientists trying to analysis its existence or non existence. I say let them off. My own intuition tells me it exists!
I believe we can live fuller and healthier lives if we allow ourselves to listen to our gut feelings and listen to the messages we receive. I have come across many women who have said things such as: "I knew I shouldn’t have stayed at that party. I felt something was going to happen," numerous times. If they had trusted their gut and not thought "I’m being silly here", I believe situations could be avoided. The next time you ‘hear’ or ‘feel’ something or simply just know something is going to happen before it happens, listen. And rejoice in your wonderful power of intuition.
