Northern Ireland tuition fees

Paying fees to study in Northern Ireland.

Article by : SpunOut.ie - Rating :
  • If you plan to study in the UK, make sure you know the cost of tuition fees. It’s worth remembering that there are no fees for Scottish universities.

  • If you live in Northern Ireland or Ireland then you may not have to pay fees (or may be asked to pay part of the fees) depending on your parents’ income or your own income if you live independently from your parents.

  • When you apply to a college through UCAS you will be automatically sent an application form which checks if you are eligible for help paying the fees. This will be followed by a second form that checks your parents' income. You are advised to complete the two forms even if you don’t think you are eligible.

  • If you are studying medicine then the National Health Service (NHS) usually pay the fees for your course. Check with your university or college for full details.
