Make advocacy films for SpunOut.ie

Find out how to create films that help make the world a better place.

Article by : SpunOut.ie

At SpunOut.ie we aim to inspire and encourage others to make a positive difference... in their own lives, in the communities, in their government, their county or in the world!

You can help make that happen by creating a film for SpunOut.ie. Maybe you have made a difference in your own life or in your community, and you can tell others how you did it? Perhaps there is an issue, such as education cuts, animal welfare or domestic violence, which you want to highlight and ask others to take action about?

If so, then what are you waiting for?! It’s time to get film-making:

  • Get thinking about what you want to show in your film, who will take part and what you will say or do.
  • Make that film! (But please don’t include any copyrighted material such as music, photography or film clips.)
  • It’s best that films run for a maximum of six minutes.
  • Be sure that everyone in the film gives permission to be in it – contact info@SpunOut.ie for video permission forms, which you can print off and get signed by participants.
  • It doesn’t have to be G-rated, but easy on the language!
  • Submit the YouTube link via the media factory along with information on why you created the film and how you hope it will make a difference.
  • Sit back, feel proud and wait for SpunOut.ie to publish your video...
  • Successful films will be published on SpunOut.ie where your work can gain the attention of over 300,000 unique visitors per year... Grammy nominations are surely on the way!
