Drop it like it’s hot!  If you have a flash of inspiration, that you need to get off your chest, submit your writing here.

Please check out the submission guidelines before you send in your work!

SpunOut.ie is always looking for fresh and funky contributions from young people. We are most likely to publish contributions that are:

•    From a young person’s point of view.
•    Inspiring, respectful and socially responsible.
•    Well written/ created and well researched.
•    Laugh out loud humour!
•    Giving a voice to groups in society that are not usually heard.

In general, we publish the following:

Excuse me, but... Have your say on the big issues of importance to young people, from global warming, to exams to the cost of contraception. We aim to publish a diversity of voices and perspectives on the world around us.

So what do you think...? We publish interviews with a variety of people- inspirational people, activists, up and coming musicians, young people who have made a positive difference to the world around them, those who have been through an experience and want to share, and anyone else you feel has a positive contribution to make.

Haha, LOL... We publish a wide range of youth written humour articles.

Once upon a time... Set your imagination free! We publish short stories up to 600 words and showcase a range of poetry.

I’ve been here and done this... Share your experiences with other young people. We publish real life stories that help demystify the problems that young people deal with and that encourage young people to think positively and ask for support if and when they need it.

Just in... Is there something going on that other young people should know about? Then write a news piece for SpunOut.ie.

Strike a pose... Send us the links to your videos on YouTube or pictures on Flickr, along with some information about what and why you created the piece, and we’ll aim to showcase your work on SpunOut.ie!

All submissions are reviewed before publishing by the SpunOut.ie team.  Due to the number of young people currently contributing to SpunOut.ie, we are unable to publish all the articles that we receive, and SpunOut.ie staff cannot offer editorial feedback. Check the SpunOut.ie site regularly to see whether your submission has been published.
