Hi all,
Rallies were held today in Dublin, Cork, Dundalk, Galway, Limerick, Sligo, Tullamore and Waterford to protest against the treatment of workers and the vulnerable in society. It is estimated that over 20,000 marched in Dublin, up to 15,000 marched in Cork and up to 5,000 or more in other cities and towns around Ireland. This is undoubtedly a powerful collective message to our government.
Anyone got any thoughts on it all?

I think it was a disgrace. The unions are living in crazy land. They have no grasp of the reality of the situation. They are ruining our chances of recovery.

The protest couldn't have gone far in Tullamore. It's always packed.

It was a joke. not because the ordinary marched thats fine. but the union speakers in dublin especially were just f**king ridiculous.
theyre trying to create this divide between public and private and it doesnt make sense, the private sector has been hit so f**king hard its insane. Jack O'Connor is a disgrace, listening to him almost made me vomit with outrage, he's paid over 100k a year why doesnt he take a paycut?
theyre living in a fantasy.

I think it's deadly to see people out on the streets irregardless. The tides of change won't shift unless people are actively making it happen.

I couldn't agree less I'm afraid, what exactly was achieved? Nothing. Divisive and costly was all those "protests" were.

I find it difficult to find words to express the contempt I have for Jack O'Connr.
