Are you a young artist, musician, actor, filmmaker, writer, dancer  or any type of artist who would like to work with others? Then, you may want to apply for the Arts Council’s Young Ensembles Scheme.

This funding is available for activities beginning between July 1st and December 31st 2010. Activities/projects must be finished by June 30th 2011.

This may be for you if:

  • You are between the ages of 12 and 23.
  • You belong to a group that creates art in any form such as: film, music, dance, digital media, creative writing, circus or drama.
  • You practise your art outside of school or college.
  • You feel your group creates work that is original, ambitious, interesting and professional.

How to apply:

  • Applications can be made online at artscouncil.ie and must be received by 5.30 pm on April 30th 2010.
  • Applicants are encouraged to apply in partnership with an established organisation, which can mentor and support young artists. If your group needs to find such an organisation, contact the Arts Council.
