Water fights, films and vids for Amnesty
Do your bit for mental health rights in Ireland.
You might know that one of Amnesty International's biggest domestic campaigns is on the topic of mental health and human rights. Now, Amnesty really needs your help to make sure that this campaign is a success, and that everyone in Ireland receives the highest attainable standard of mental health.
How you can contribute:
If you have experienced mental health problems and are over 18, Amnesty would welcome your opinions and experiences. Amnesty is currently looking for volunteers to complete their short survey on mental health recovery and experiences. Click here to leave your details.
Do you like making films, videos or audio shorts? Amnesty will soon be starting up a new campaign and will create a short film for it. The film will be made up entirely of content from Amnesty members’ own videos/audios. All the videos that Amnesty receive will be used to send a clear message directly to Brian Cowen, demanding that he make mental health a political priority. If making videos floats your boat, please send your short videos to Amnesty Now. Just click here and follow the instructions. The idea is to create a digital petition, which can demonstrate that the people of Ireland do care that mental health rights continue to be neglected.
