Waiting
A poem: The worst part is watching...
Article by : SpunOut.ie
1. The worst part is watching
Especially when it’s shoved in your face,
You don't want to love someone; you don't want your time to go to waste
They don't notice you, they leave without a trace
And all you’re left to do is wait for them to come back
Like a fish attached to bait,
You dangle helplessly awaiting your fate
2. I tried to look for him but he was gone
I tried to find the words
Tried to find a song
But I had to base it in my head
On words that were never spoken and things that never happened instead
3. I stopped and waited
Holding breath
Movement abated
We could see the end, but we couldn't move like we were sedated
I said lend me more time,
But he turned his back
Then why shouldn't he?
He had never heard before
This is the end, there is no more.
