Earth Hour 2009 is asking people everywhere to vote for planet earth by switching off their lights this Saturday… or to vote for global warming by leaving the lights on.

The Earth Hour campaign wants one billion people to switch off their lights, at the same time, as part of a climate change campaign which will be presented to world leaders at the upcoming Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.

Over 80 countries have committed to vote earth so far and you can take part by switching off your lights for one hour at 8.30pm on Saturday.
