Text 50100 for drugs info

Text for free to find out the effects of illegal drugs.

A new mobile phone text alert service has been launched by the Drugs Awareness Programme to provide people with advice on the dangers of drugs.

Young people offered illegal drugs can find out the effects they can have on their life or health within seconds by texting the name of the drug to 50100.

By texting the name of the drug to 50100 you will be sent a brief text message with specific information on that type of drug and how it will affect you. The text reply will also contain a helpline number and the DAP website address www.dap.ie

The text service will be available on a pilot basis for six months.
