TeenCamp Ireland debuts
Irish conference for teenagers, run by teenagers to take place on January 17th.
In a week when thousands of teens share their research abilities at the Young Scientist, two teens from Dublin and Cork respectively are organising their own conference aimed at getting teens to share their passions with other teens.
The first TeenCamp Ireland will be held:
Filmbase, Curved Street, Temple Bar, Dublin
1-7 pm
All talks will be chosen and given by the teenage attendees. So far talks on the following have been pencilled-in with free space devoted to talks that teens dropping in on the day may decide to do too.
- Photography
- Web integration
- Event experiences
- Culture
- Software developing
- Gaming
- Success stories
As well as the talks, there will be many opportunities to meet and network with other like-minded individuals.
The event is FREE to attend for everyone, food and drinks will be provided.
The organisers of TeenCamp, Enda Crowley and Alan Costello, have followed the successful "BarCamp" model of democratic style conferences designed to share information in an informal setting. It is hoped this TeenCamp will be the first of many events where teenagers take the reins and share knowledge with themselves and others.
