In response to the recent budget, a campaign has been launched calling on the Irish Government to honour their commitments on Overseas Aid spending.
In the past year the Ireland's Overseas Aid budget has been cut by €255 million. These cuts are not in line with the government's commitment to reach 0.7% GNP spending on Overseas Aid by 2012.

Ireland is making a huge difference in the lives of millions of people. Irish Aid helped over 25 million children go to school in 2006 alone. In these difficult times, we must show leadership on the international stage, and honour our commitment to the world's most vulnerable people!
