A weekend events in the North West for Lesbian and Bisexual Women: Friday 17th - Sunday 19th October 2008

Women Out and About are organising a weekend event in October called Outitude. The weekend will comprise of social, creative, cultural and outdoor activities designed to attract the diversity of lesbian and bisexual women living in the North West AND BEYOND. The event will run from Friday 17th October to Sunday the 19th October and will include:

• A public discussion forum on partnership rights and marriage equality
• Film shows
• Information and discussion forum on recent health research and research on needs of rural lesbian and bisexual women
• Creative writing
• Mask making
• Surfing
• Hill walking
• Archeological walk
• Culture and history tour of North Sligo
• Saturday night disco.

The Outitude event will provide an opportunity for lesbian and bisexual women living in the North West and beyond to come together to socialise and engage in creative, cultural and outdoor activities in a safe, supportive and homophobia free environment. This event is designed to attract as wide a diversity of women as possible by providing a range of events and activities. Outitude encourage women from outside the Northwest area to come to Sligo for the weekend to enjoy our beautiful scenery, have some fun, make connections with other women and join in a variety of activities.

Free childcare will be provided on site for the Saturday workshops and activities (10 am – 5pm). If you wish to avail of this facility please book your child(ren) in by Monday October 13th.
