History

Formed in late 2002, the band was always going to be big, selling out shows in Kilkenny, Carlow, Carrickmacross and Dublin. “Find Yourself” was downloaded over 500 times in just over a week. Their debut single “All You Need” reached No. 23 in the charts. A phenomenal achievement. The band then embarked on a 10-day tour that took in 19 shows around Ireland. Including a very special launch night at Dublin’s Temple Bar Music Centre, which they filled on their own. Brilliant for an unsigned band. The video for 5 second heaven is recorded live at this event.

2005

This could be a breakthrough year for the band. They have the majority of the year booked up with concerts in Ireland, Europe and America-including several festivals.

Caveat Emptor

The debut album for Mike Got Spiked went on sale on 04/03/2005. An excellent album containing highly popular songs such as “5 second heaven”, “All You Need”, “Find Yourself” and many more including my favourite “Whiskey For Me Tae”. A must have for fans and music lovers everywhere.

Tour

Currently embarking on their Irish tour, which sees the band play at Temple Bar Music Centre, Leisure World Athlone, and Central Hotel Manorhamilton. Followed by a tour in Canada playing at Quebec, Montreal and Toronto.

Mike Got Spiked is one of the best bands I have ever had the privilege to see. I saw them on 29/10/2004 in the Central Hotel in Manorhamilton and will be seeing them again on the 01/04/2005 in The Central again. They are a brilliant band and are going to change music history.
