I know what you'll do this Easter

Top tips to beat boredom during the Easter holidays.

Article by : SpunOut.ie

The Easter holidays are coming and that means two whole weeks of no school, no homework, no responsibilities and freedom from our oppressors. So what is there to do this holiday? Here are a few suggestions:

Fill up on Easter Eggs!
The only thing better than one Easter Egg is loads of them! They always taste great and are going cheap after Easter. Personally, I’ll be pigging out in the days after Easter, on all the half price eggs I can get my hands on!

Try something different!

With two weeks of free time, go and do something new. Try a new sport or go to new places and hang out with different people. You have two weeks off, so that’s enough time to see if you like something or not.

Read a book!
Two weeks is more than enough time to go through a classic novel, whether it’s To Kill A Mocking Bird or a debut book from the hottest new writer on the block.

Rent some classic movies!
Never seen The Godfather? Want to find out why everyone’s been going on about The Departed? Most DVD shops do a deal on multi-rentals, so draw the curtains, get an extra big bag of popcorn and sit down to some cinema history.

Have your first swim of the year!
Yes, I know it sounds insane, what with it only being March but I find the first swim of the year, especially in freezing weather, particularly invigorating, even more so if it’s raining!

Take a break from football!
Have you, like me, let football partly take over your life? If so, with only one Champions League game on T.V. there’ll be a chance to go cold turkey and get a life!

Find out the significance of bunnies and eggs in Easter!
It’s been bugging me for ages what eggs and rabbits have to do with the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus but if you do find out, please let me know.

Discover some new music!
Are you stuck in the seventies or eighties like me? Or never even heard of Paul Weller, Joe Strummer or Ian Brown? Either way, go and find someone new to listen to.

Go visit friends or family!
Got a friend in Cork or cousins in Donegal? Go visit them, you’ve got loads of time over Easter to go on holidays, at home or abroad.
