Fighting by writing
For diversity, against discrimination journalism award.
Do you have a passion for writing about discrimination and the issues people face in the fight against it? Now in its sixth year, the “For Diversity, Against Discrimination” award honours online or print journalists within the EU who write on issues of discrimination.
Discrimination can be based on race, sexual orientation, sex, religious beliefs, age and disabilities. The article can examine any of these forms of discrimination.
Your entry must have been published in a print or online medium already and must be in one of the EU’s 23 official languages. It must be at least 3,000 characters (including spaces) in length but must not exceed 50,000 characters (including spaces also).
The winners of the 27 national competitions will receive a prize worth €600. The winner of the European competition, plus the two runners-up, will receive prizes with a value of €4,500, €3,000 and €2,000 respectively.
The closing date is the 31st of August.
