Fairtrade fortnight was launched on the 25th February and looks set to be a packed fortnight.

This year there are representatives from tea, cocoa and coffee producers visiting Ireland during Fairtrade fortnight:

Nimrod Wambette is a member of the Gumutindo Coffee Cooperative Enterprise in Uganda and Yahya Msangi works with the Tanzania Plantation and Agricultural Workers Union. Since their arrival they have met with fairtrade groups and given talks around the country as well as meeting with Irish members of parliament and President Mary McAleese.
