Eyes Open

Your Word on Snow Patrol's latest album.

Snow Patrol released their new album recently. The 14 track album entitled "Eyes Open" is, in my opinion a masterpiece but what else did we expect as the follow up to 2004’s "Final Straw", which was the album that made their career.

The songs are fresh but not an entirely different set-up, the lyrics are just as meaningful as ever and the songs are epic, melodic (but not melodramatic), catchy and best of all, fairly simple.

The great thing about this album and Snow Patrol in general is that they have not gone out of their way to overcomplicate things. That said, the songs are busy and beautifully polished, so to speak.

Snow Patrol have done exactly what people said they wouldn't - topped "Final Straw".
