Nominate them for the People of the Year Awards 2011.
The People of the Year Awards 2011 is now seeking nominees for its awards this year. Every year, these awards honour people who have made a real difference in the world; whether to a few people or an entire community, county or country. The awards are about honouring unsung heroes as well as household names.
You can nominate an individual or a group in a particular category for a People of the Year Award including:
- International Person of the Year
- Young Person of the Year (under 25)
- Sports Person of the Year
- Community Group of the Year
- General People of the Year Awards
The winners of the People of the Year Awards are selected by an adjudicating committee from nominations received from members of the public.
The awards will be televised live on RTÉ One on Saturday 10th September. Tickets for the gala occasion are available by calling: 01 2100 520.
Special Award 2011
Best Friend of the Year is a new category that will pay tribute to a special friend that has been there for you through thick and thin and who has gone above and beyond the call of duty for you.
How to Nominate:
- Log on to peopleoftheyear.com and complete the online nomination form. Include as much detail as you can about why your chosen person, community group or friend should receive such an award.
- Send the form to: People of the Year Awards, Rehab Group, Roslyn Park, Sandymount, Dublin 4.
- The closing date is Monday, 20th June 2011.
