About the Academy of Activism 2011

In June 2011 SpunOut.ie hosted its second Academy of Activism. The intensive weekend training course was aimed at young people with a passion for social justice, between the ages of 18 and 25, who are interested in learning how they can make a difference in the world. It was a practical, free of charge training opportunity that, in 2011, was attended by fourteen young people.

The course was tailor-made to equip participants with the skills, confidence and motivation to set about working for positive social change in their communities. The sessions also gave participants an opportunity to engage directly with politicians and to hear from inspirational activists.

If you’re interested in activism, check out the Take Action section or Get Involved with SpunOut.ie!
