The site is powered by a custom built php system that ensures maximum reliability, usability and efficiency for all browsers, screen sizes and systems
Our main programmer 20 year old Sean Bryceland is a final year I.T student at NUI Galway. Sean is founder of the Xpose Software & Design Company.
Sean has worked closely with us from the start to develop a sophisticated content management system (CMS) for the website. This allows multiple users to easily and quickly update and edit the website.
Our system also focuses on interactive elements such as live polls, discussion boards, feedback forms and online surveys to ensure users are engaged in the online experience.
Maintenance
The site is maintained and updated on a daily basis by the editorial panel based on strict editorial policies and procedures. This ensures the is site kept dynamic, fresh and appealing to users.
This includes updating daily polls, changing quotes, the magazine updates, new features and the moderated discussion boards.
The six main page frontpage features on the site will change every few days to draw attention to new and different topics, articles and features that exist in the different sections within the site.
Safety and Security
SpunOut.ie has been designed with young people's safety in mind and all steps are taken to ensure the site is secure, moderated and a well managed in accordance with best practice in child safety and protection.
