Anna Lally - Editor

Anna Lally, 31, is the SpunOut.ie Editor and has been with SpunOut.ie since the beginning. Anna holds a degree in Media Studies and previously worked as a journalist in Ireland and Spain and as a freelance editor to a number of print and online publications. A previous Irish surfing champion, Anna has travelled extensively and is passionate about health, the environment and innovative media. Anna writes on a variety of issues in her freetime and is dedicated to providing a platform for young people to express themselves and be heard in the media.
In her own words: "Hey! I'm Anna. I spend my time developing SpunOut.ie, publishing new articles, working with the SpunOut.ie Youth Board to ensure the website is youth-led, hanging out in the Forum and helping to ensure that SpunOut.ie is a brilliant experience for you! I’m from Donegal but as I love travelling, I seem to spend half my free time on the road and the rest planning the next trip. My other favourite time-killers are surfing and simply chillin' out with friends and family."
Ruairí McKiernan - Founder Director
Ruairí (32 and greying..) started the organisation at the age of 26 having spent several years working for multinationals and later community and health agencies. His initial vision was to develop a unique agency for promoting personal and social change at
all levels of society.
A graduate of Business Management and recipient of numerous awards, Ruairí has since led the organisation to becoming a national force for change with huge momentum behind it. Ruairí is increasingly active in advocating for people-led change at local, national and international levels and is a regular media commentator on health and social issues.
In his own words: "I'm privileged to be doing this work and it's an honor to work with the amazing team of SpunOut.ie staff, management, funders, partners and most importantly - the SpunOutter community, which is ever growing. These are changing times and although it is a rough ride for many I believe it is a huge opportunity to make great things happen. My own biggest challenge in all of this is to slow down a bit and enjoy the ride."
William Corless - Operations Manager
William Corless, 32, is the Operations Manager and joined the SpunOut.ie team in April 2008. William studied electronics in college and has a wide range of work experience from the electronics industry to the hotel sector. William loves music, sports and travel.
In his own words: "Hiya, I'm Willie and I'm the Operations Manager for SpunOut.ie. My job is to run the finances of the company and make sure all the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted. I'm originally from Galway city. I went to school in Coláiste Iognáid (the Jes) in Galway and then to the Galway – Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT). I love travelling and I've spent a few months travelling to South Africa and South America: bungee jumping, gorge swings, shark cage diving, parachute jumping, canyoning, white water rafting, sand boarding were great craic! Now, I just get my thrills from playing hurling and soccer and I venture out on a horse every once in a while."

In her own words: "Hiya! I'm Susie Q and the Communications Officer for SpunOut.ie. It's my job to get the SpunOut.ie name out there. On the ground, in the sky, in your ears and buzzZZzzing in the air. I am infatuated with music. Whether playing, listening or dancing my socks off to it … Any kind... as long as it's good! I love walking down a street I've never been down before, gigs, festivals, getting lost in a book for 3 days and most of all- good people."

In his own words: "Howdy! I'm Ian and I'm delighted to be working with SpunOut.ie in the North West. I have been described as a fun lovin' work-a-holic but I like to describe myself as dedicated to the cause!
As for moi, I love music. Music is a great passion of mine. I'm a sucker for big lyrics and a catchy song… and I’m often heard singing Christmas songs in July. You've been warned! I am very keen on sport and a big Liverpool FC Fan, Come on the Pool! I love traveling and meeting new people and will be doing a lot more in time to come. Again I'm delighted to be working with SpunOut.ie and I'm sure you'll be hearing from me in the future!!
