SpunOut.ie Registration Agreement
Please read this agreement before you register with SpunOut.ie.
By registering with SpunOut.ie (including the Community Creations charity) and using any of the SpunOut.ie interactive services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by the SpunOut.ie Registration Agreement, Privacy Policy and notices relating to SpunOut.ie use (described below as the 'agreement'). This agreement applies to all areas of the website, including the forum, comment and content submission facilities.
If you do not agree to be legally bound by this agreement then please do not access and/ or use SpunOut.ie interactive services. SpunOut.ie reserves the right to end your membership without notice should you not adhere to this agreement.
We reserve the right to modify or vary this agreement without prior notice and your continued usage of SpunOut.ie interactive services means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as they are updated and/ or amended.

- You agree that SpunOut.ie does not provide counselling or online professional support and that SpunOut.ie staff and volunteers cannot offer advice, support or counselling.
- Community Creations makes SpunOut.ie information and the external links accessible through the website, available to provide only general information on health and personal related issues. None of the information in this website is intended for use as a medical diagnosis and should not be relied on for medical diagnosis or treatment of any ailment or condition.
- You agree that the information and comments on this site may include opinions or recommendations of third parties that may not reflect the views of SpunOut.ie or mean a commitment from SpunOut.ie to any opinion or action.
- By submitting content or accessing information on this website or linked to this website you agree to legally waive and release SpunOut.ie from any and all claims related to the content available through the website. SpunOut.ie cannot be held liable in any event for incident or consequential damages due to use of the content.
- You agree that personal data you disclose during registration (including date of birth, location, email address) will be stored by SpunOut.ie and will only be used for the purposes you agree to during registration. SpunOut.ie will not release your name, email address or personal details to a third party without your prior agreement unless required to do so by law or if you are in immediate danger. If you are in danger and you have provided us with enough personal information for you to be identified, we will pass your details on to someone who can help, such as the Gardai or a social worker.
- As a user you agree to any information you have entered during registration being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, SpunOut.ie, the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
- SpunOut.ie does not take responsibility for any communications between SpunOut.ie users.
- This system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you have entered above; they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure.
Submitting content to SpunOut.ie:
- SpunOut.ie assumes non-exclusive publication rights on all submitted content.
- Any content (including articles, images, video, links, comments and feedback) submitted to www.SpunOut.ie and not hosted on another website will be held under the non-exclusive copyright of www.SpunOut.ie.
- Submitted content, excluding the SpunOut.ie forum, is pre-moderated before publication.
- You grant SpunOut.ie the right to publish submissions in whole or in part and in any form. This may include publication online at SpunOut.ie or via our social networking and YouTube channels, as well as in SpunOut.ie’s print publications or in print media partnerships.
- SpunOut.ie reserves the right to edit, modify or delete any content that you submit and we may publish edited contributions without your prior approval. We may also ask you to edit content before publishing.
- You grant SpunOut.ie the right to publish submissions (such as true life stories) anonymously without your prior approval, in line with SpunOut.ie’s Youth Protection Policy.
- All submissions are expected to be the users own work and in line with the SpunOut.ie Editorial Policy.
- You agree not to submit any content that infringes the copyright or other rights of third parties, that contains illegal or unreliable information or that contains personal abuse or allegations against individuals or groups.
- Submissions that indicate discrimination, prejudice, hatred, insults or misinformation will not be published.
- Submissions that have religious, political or commercial agendas will not be published.
Using the SpunOut.ie forum:
The SpunOut.ie forum is powered by phpBB (hereinafter “they”, “them”, “their”, “phpBB software”, “www.phpbb.com”, “phpBB Group”, “phpBB Teams”) which is a bulletin board solution released under the “General Public License” (hereinafter “GPL”) and can be downloaded from www.phpbb.com. The phpBB software only facilitates Internet based discussions and the GPL strictly forbids them in what we allow and/or disallow as permissible content and/or conduct. In order to use the SpunOut.ie forum you agree to comply with the following:
- You agree to respect the rights and opinions of other users on SpunOut.ie.
- You acknowledge that SpunOut.ie reserves the right to remove or edit any content posted without notice to the author.
- While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence the afore mentioned will not be held liable.
- You acknowledge that the SpunOut.ie forum is post-moderated and we aim to respond to any urgent /crisis questions or worries by signposting forum users in need to relevant support organisations and services within 24 hours of the original post.
Following registration with SpunOut.ie you agree not to submit content or post in the forum (including in your username, signature or avatar):
- Abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.
- Anything that may threaten, offend, harass, defame or embarrass other people (friends, teachers, etc) or other members of the forum.
- Any contact details that identify you or anyone else. This includes your surname, address, phone numbers, where you live, go to school, college or work, the names of family, friends or people you know and links to online profiles that include your personal details.
- Anything commercial including spam, advertising or links to porn.
- Illegal information such as instructions on drug use or crime.
- Anything depicting abuse, violence, sexual activity or pornography.
- Photos, writing, songs, video, trademarks, logos or any other material that you do not own.
Doing any of the above may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions.
You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of SpunOut.ie have the right to remove, edit, move or close any submission or forum post at any time should they see fit.
By signing up to SpunOut.ie you agree to be bound by this registration agreement.
