In our information saturated world where billions of us spend uncountable hours working on computers, files, and the net, it’s a novelty and thrill to actually create something tangible. A real life, touch it, taste it, hear it kinda thing! Amazing!
Every once in awhile, to ease our techy hands and soothe our screen-blurred eyes, the crew at SpunOut.ie HQ bails from the office to let our minds and imaginations roam free. Wheeeee!
This latest episode landed us with Lawrence the Potter in a cavernous studio hidden in the middle of Galway City. Pottery, you may ask? Well, why not?!

We hopped on the pottery wheels, finessed some occasionally temperamental clay, and let the fun spin around in true Spunout fashion!
Two hours produced 5 mugs, 6 pots, a funky goblet, an unidentifiable ‘art noveau’ object (wink wink), a pinch bowl, a few heaps of wobbly clay gone wrong, and 5 pairs of very mucky hands! There were no ‘Ghost’ moments, but the mood was warm and cosy, nonetheless.
