The next dimension
SpunOut.ie blog - Prepping for the great leap forward!
The last few months have been pretty full on here at SpunOut.ie HQ. We've set-up a new office, hired new staff, completed a temporary re-design of the website, held major partnership talks and begun intensive business planning.
It's been a mixed bag of exhaustion, fun, chaos, excitement and good ole fashioned hard graft. The biggest challenge for myself and Anna in particular has been putting a whole pile of projects and developments on hold so we can spend time focusing on business planning. Whilst this is worthwhile...it's also sooooooooooo frustrrrrrrrrrating. Especially when you're used to flying ahead at full force.
With our killer consultant Anthony Finn (he's not literally a killer…) and various other heads popping in and out, we've spent long hard hours teasing out all the tough questions surrounding Community Creations and SpunOut.ie. At times it's like one of those nightmarish but sometimes enjoyable 'meaning of life' discussions, only lasting 3 months!
In short, the whole point of spending so much time, money and energy on doing a new business plan for SpunOut.ie is to help us realise our dream of making it one of the best youth websites on the planet. We want to make sure everything about the site, from its vision and identity to its graphics and navigation, is planned, organised and clear to the point of freakish obsession. We're weird like that!
So over the next 6 weeks we'll be pulling it all together and come June we'll be ready to present the world (especially funders and sponsors! Hint, hint…) with a recipe for brilliance, success and global domination. We'll be doing this in between a zillion other projects (The Young Social Innovators conference and a new TV ad campaign to mention two) and hopefully we'll not develop any more grey hairs along the way. (Erm...I'll come back to you again about the grey hair thing... it's a touchy subject!!)
Anyway, brace yourselves; SpunOut.ie – the next dimension – is on its way!

In honour of the glorious weather I thought I'd share our little part of Galway with you.
Located along ancient Quay St, atop the highest floor, of the tallest tower resides Spunout HQ!

(All the plotting world domination happens here, no seriously!)

(Ok, we lie, this isn't actually in the office, It's in a secret
military location protected by armed guards 24/7. Now for ya!)
